Job summary

AAM - American Axle & Manufacturing is seeking a Millwright Technician to perform millwright work in a union manufacturing environment, maintaining equipment, systems, and processes to support production.

Candidates should have 3–5 years in manufacturing, journeyperson status or 8 years equivalent, ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical prints, and experience with welding and sheet metal fabrication. Willingness to work overtime and varied shifts in a union facility.

Qualifications

• Possess a certified journeyperson’s card (or 8 years of trade experience).
• Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical prints.
• Experience with welding (stick, MIG, TIG) and sheet metal fabrication.
• Overtime and flexible schedule as required within union facility agreement.
• Passed pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment, systems and processes to support manufacturing production.
• Perform millwright work in a union environment as dispatched.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Assist with installation and maintenance of conveyors and material handling.
