Job summary

American Axle & Manufacturing is seeking a Millwright Technician at the Three Rivers Manufacturing Facility to maintain equipment and processes in a union environment. The role focuses on ensuring production uptime and safe operation through hands-on mechanical work and preventative maintenance.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of manufacturing experience, proficiency with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical prints, and welding skills.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of manufacturing experience, preferably in an automotive supplier.
• Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical prints.
• Experience with metal removal processes and sheet metal fabrication.
• Proficient welding – stick, mig, tig.
• Ability to perform rigging requirements.
• Experience with automation of conveyors (power and free) and material handling equipment.
• Ability to work well with others and in teams.
• Available to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment, systems, and processes to support manufacturing production.
• Work within a union environment as dispatched.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime.
• Support installation and commissioning of equipment as required.
