Job summary

Turner Industries in Pensacola, FL is hiring a Millwright Superintendent to lead on-site maintenance and construction activities, supervise trades, and ensure work aligns with design, schedule, and budget.

You will plan, coordinate, and direct field operations, interpret drawings, implement project procedures, enforce safety, mentor crew, and report to Site Manager or Project Manager.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of technical training and/or related experience.
• Travels nationally as required.
• Thorough knowledge of construction.
• Advanced knowledge of key crafts onsite (mechanical, planning, safety).

We are hiring a Millwright Superintendent to join our team in the Pensacola, FL area. The Superintendent position schedules, coordinates and supervises the activities of maintenance and construction workers and provides overall on-site administrative and technical management on maintenance or construction sites. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Site Manager or Project Manager; Establishes procedures for specific goals in a broad area of work / only results are reviewed / develops procedures within limits of policy and guidelines.

Functional Requirements:

Supervises total maintenance and/or construction effort to ensure project is constructed and/or maintained in accordance with design, budget, and schedule (includes interfacing with client representatives); plans, coordinates, and supervises on-site functions including scheduling, engineering, material control, etc.; provides technical assistance, such as interpretation of drawings, as required; assists project management in developing and implementing project procedures, standards, etc.; ensures all on-site personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, company standards, etc.; creates new policies and procedures or updates existing policies with plant or project management approvals; documents all violations, notifies project management, and recommends/implements corrective actions as required; assumes responsibility for productivity of employees, efficient use of materials and equipment and contractual performance of the job; interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations; analyzes and resolves work related problems; establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel; perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

Qualification Standards:

• High school or equivalent
• Eight (8) to ten (10) years of technical training and/or related experience
• Role will require national travel
• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction
• Basic knowledge of all crafts
• Advanced knowledge of key crafts onsite, i.e., mechanical skills, soft skills, planning and safety
• Highly developed leadership and mentor skills
• Preferred Turner Leadership Training
• Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Compensation:

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:
