Responsibilities

• Dismantle machines, move machinery, and install equipment such as pumps and conveyors.
• Align machines using precise methods and bolt, weld, or fasten to foundations.
• Repair or lubricate equipment and assist with grouting base plates.
• Operate tools and work in varied environments, including heat and loud settings.

We are seeking aMillwrightfor a maintenance position in the Chickasaw, AL area. The Millwright position installs and/or maintains machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings and written instructions in industrial establishments. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.

Essential Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent
• One (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)
• Nightshift position
• Some job sites may require NCCER certification
• Written pre-employment qualification test
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Functional Requirements:

Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures; dismantles machines; moves machinery and equipment; assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, pumps, compressors, extruders, turbines and blowers; aligns machines and equipment using reverse alignment method; assembles machines and bolts, welds, rivets or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures; may operate engine lathe to grind, file and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications; may repair and lubricate machines and equipment; may be involved in the grouting activity for equipment base plates; remove plant equipment, disassemble, repair and reinstall.

Compensation

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement
