Job summary
D.H. Griffin Contracting in Dayton, TN is seeking an experienced Journeyman Millwright to install, dismantle, and move machinery according to layout plans, blueprints, or drawings at our Dayton division.
The role requires strong industrial mechanical experience, ability to read technical drawings, and a commitment to safety. Candidates should be capable of working unsupervised and handling heavy equipment in a demanding environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of industrial mechanical experience.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, schematics, e-plans and specifications.
- Must adhere to safety policies and be a champion of safe work practices and policies.
Responsibilities
- Install, dismantle and move industrial machinery using various hand, power tools and heavy lifting equipment.
- Heavy and complex rigging knowledge and experience.
- Troubleshoot and make needed machine repairs.
- Precision layout and alignment using tight tolerances.
- Install ductwork and other utility services as required.
- Ability to work unsupervised for extended periods of time.
