Job summary

Stimson Lumber Company in Tillamook, Oregon seeks an experienced Millwright to keep mill equipment running safely, reliably, and efficiently. You will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, perform preventive maintenance, and work with electricians to ensure continuous operation of conveyors, saws, kilns, and debarkers.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of industrial equipment maintenance experience.
• Proficient with mechanical systems: conveyors, saws, kilns, debarkers; welding and fabrication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings/blueprints; knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose mechanical issues quickly and accurately.
• Team player with excellent communication; able to mentor less experienced millwrights; self-motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems; perform preventive maintenance on mill machinery including conveyors, saws, kilns, and debarkers; diagnose issues and implement corrective actions.
• Technical Expertise: read and interpret mechanical drawings/blueprints; weld and fabricate to repair/modify components; troubleshoot hydraulic/pneumatic systems; coordinate with electricians on electrical systems.
