Job summary

ARAUCO is seeking a Millwright to join our Albany, Oregon facility. The role involves rotating 2-weeks schedules on day and night shifts, with a 2-2-3 pattern and 7-7 hours.

You will perform preventive maintenance, read drawings, and troubleshoot mechanical systems to ensure uptime. You should have a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent experience, welding/fabrication skills, and a strong background in bearings, hydraulics, and lubrication.

Qualifications

• Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent maintenance experience.
• 3+ years industrial mechanical maintenance involving bearings and pumps.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance and lubrication.
• Experience with precision maintenance and shaft/bearing measurements.
• Ability to read mechanical/hydraulic drawings and docs.
• Experience carrying out preventive/predictive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to mill breakdowns promptly, coordinating with area operators.
• Prioritize safety for yourself and coworkers during maintenance.
• Investigate root causes and recommend long-term fixes.
• Lead troubleshooting and document maintenance items in SAP.
• Complete work orders and PM/PD activities on schedule.
• Monitor maintenance issues across the mill area.
• Collaborate with operations, peers, and supervisors.
