Job summary

Arauco North America, Inc. is seeking a Millwright for our Albany, OR facility. This role supports maintenance of bearings, hydraulics, pumps, and gearboxes, with an emphasis on reliability and preventive maintenance.

The schedule rotates every two weeks with 7:00 to 19:00 hours on a 2-2-3 pattern. Applicants should have an apprenticeship or equivalent experience, welding/fabrication skills, and the ability to read mechanical drawings.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent industrial or commercial mechanical maintenance experience.
• Three or more years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience involving bearings, hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes, rotating equipment, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Welding and fabrication experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance programs using reliability-centered practices.
• Read and interpret mechanical and hydraulic drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Maintain shaft/bearing measurements, torqueing procedures, and laser alignment.

This role is on a shift schedule that rotates every 2 weeks from day to night shift. The hours are 7-7 and the schedule is 2-2-3 (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, etc.)

What we are looking for:

Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent industrial or commercial mechanical maintenance experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through formal millwright training. Strong preference will be given to applicants with three or more years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience involving bearings, hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes, rotating equipment, equipment installation, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Welding and fabrication experience.

Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance practices and lubrication principles.

• Experience performing precision maintenance activities, including shaft and bearing measurements, torqueing procedures, V-belt tensioning, and laser alignment.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical and hydraulic drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.

Experience executing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

• Post offer, you must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and physical capability assessment.
• Preferred: Manual machining experience, including operation of conventional lathes, mills, drill presses, and related shop equipment used to fabricate, modify, or repair machine components.
