Job summary

ARAUCO - North America in Albany, Oregon is seeking a Millwright. The position operates on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule, 7:00–19:00, with responsibilities including maintenance of bearings, hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes, and rotating equipment.

You will respond to mill breakdowns, read drawings, perform preventive tasks, document work in SAP, and ensure safety as a top priority. Welding/fabrication and 3+ years of experience are favored.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Completion of a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent industrial or commercial mechanical maintenance experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through formal millwright training.
• Strong preference for 3+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience involving bearings, hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes, rotating equipment, installation and troubleshooting.
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance practices and lubrication principles.
• Experience reading mechanical/hydraulic drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience performing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Post offer, able to pass drug screen, background check, and physical capability assessment.
• Preferred: manual machining experience with lathes, mills, drill presses and related shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to mill breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner with area operators.
• Prioritize safety for yourself and coworkers during maintenance work.
• Investigate root causes of equipment failure and recommend long-term fixes.
• Lead troubleshooting and proper documentation (SAP Notifications) of maintenance items.
• Complete assigned work orders and PM/PD activities based on priority and timely completion.
• Be aware of maintenance issues throughout the mill or assigned area.
• Collaborate with operational partners, peers, and direct supervisors.
