Job summary

WorleyParsons in the United States is seeking an experienced industrial construction/maintenance technician to install, align and commission machines according to layout plans, blueprints and vendor manuals.

You will read and interpret drawings, dismantle and reassemble equipment, position machinery with hoists and trucks, construct foundations, align components, and perform lubrication, cleaning and repairs while upholding strict safety and project rules.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints and layout plans to determine work procedures.
• Knowledge of mechanical seals, pumps, gearboxes, drive couplings, and bearings.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, layout plans, vendor manuals and other drawings to determine work procedures.
• Dismantle machines using hand tools and power tools.
• Move machinery using hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks.
• Assemble equipment such as conveyors and tram rails using cranes and tools.
• Construct foundations for machines using wood, cement and steel.
• Align machines using hoists, jacks and precision instruments.
• Perform lubrication, maintenance, and cleaning of tools and equipment.
• Observe safety and project rules.
• Operate engine lathe to grind or shape parts as needed.
