Job summary

Metro Group, Inc. in Salt Lake City, Utah is seeking a skilled Millwright Mechanic to join our operations shift, supporting a 4–5 person team in a process unit.

You will install, maintain and align conveyors and machinery, perform welds (stick and wire), use hoists and hand tools, and ensure safety with our health and safety program. Valid driver’s license and mechanical proficiency required.

Qualifications

• Experience with conveyors and mechanical systems.
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
• Welding with stick and wire feed.
• Knowledge of alignment, leveling and measurement tools.
• Familiar with safety procedures and job safety analyses.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
• Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, levels, lasers, and plumb bobs.
• Dismantle machinery and equipment for shipment to installation site and perform installation/maintenance as part of a team.
• Inspect rigging to ensure safety and reliability; replace worn or defective parts.
• Operate heavy equipment and machines; follow safety protocols and complete paperwork.
• Follow Metro Group INC's Health and Safety program and perform housekeeping duties.
