Job summary

BiOrigin Specialty Products seeks a Maintenance Mechanic - Millwright for our Menominee, MI paper mill. You will maintain and repair machinery to keep our 24/7 operations running smoothly and efficiently. Overtime and call-ins are required.

In this role you’ll be trained across related trades—machinist, pipefitter, and welding—to support a high‑quality production environment and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Millwright license (433A) required.
• Technical training with 4–5 years related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read sketches and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Change a pump element, replace couplings, change out reducers/gearboxes
• Inspect and repair/replace conveyor pulleys, belts, chains, sheaves, and sprockets
• Paper Machine roll changes
• Replace and repair hydraulic/pneumatic cylinders
• Fabrication work such as brackets
• Alignment and rigging
• Work closely with other maintenance team members to ensure the smooth running of the plant in a 24/7 continuous operation environment
• Oxy/Acetylene cutting and burning
• Stick, TIG and MIG welding
