Job summary

Sierra Pacific Industries in Sonora, CA is seeking a skilled Millwright/Maintenance Technician for our sawmill. You will maintain and repair mechanical systems, troubleshoot machines, fabricate parts, and operate welding tools to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 2 years recent verifiable related work history or equivalent education.
• Proficient in welding, cutting, and using hand tools for repairs.
• Working knowledge of hydraulics, pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and bearings.
• Ability to recognize, report, and repair mechanical defects.
• Industrial mill maintenance experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all mechanical parts and machinery in a manufacturing facility.
• Troubleshoot, install, replace, and repair machines and equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Fabricate machine components for repairs and improvements of mechanical devices.
• Operate arc welder, cutting torch, hand tools, forklift, and welding truck.
• Perform general maintenance in a safe and efficient manner and maintain a clean work area.
• Work may include weekends and holidays during busy production times.
