Position: Machinist - Baraboo, WI

Seneca Foods is currently seeking a Machinist to join our team. The Machinist produces precisely engineered parts used to build can manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include completing repairs, setting up equipment, operating equipment, and inspecting finished parts.

Responsibilities

1. Layout and install machinery.
2. Perform fabrication, repair, or modification assessments.
3. Read and interpret blueprints.
4. Maintain conveying equipment such as elevators, palletizers, track work, and cableways.
5. Use hand and power tools.
6. Weld and buildup worn machine parts using gas or electric welding equipment.
7. Determine and make efficient set-ups.
8. Follow GMPs, safety rules, and regulations.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Technical degree preferred but not required.
2. Knowledge of mechanical principles involved in repair and overhaul work.
3. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, hoists, lubricating equipment, gas and electrical welding, and burning apparatus.
4. Willingness to work effectively in a team environment.
5. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
