Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a skilled Millwright to install, repair, replace and dismantle heavy machinery in industrial settings. The role requires precise alignment, measuring, and testing of machines using hoists, jacks, hand tools, and rulers.

You will work with a team of employee-owners and contribute to foundation placement, assembly, and equipment startup. Must have 3–5 years Journeyman level experience, NCCER/TWIC certifications, and a valid state driver’s license; sponsorship is not

Qualifications

• Education – no minimum education requirements.
• Certifications: NCCER, TWIC card, and valid state driver's license.
• Experience – 3–5 years journeyman level experience.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; Austin does not sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

• Replace defective parts and adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
• Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
• Connect power unit to machines or steam piping to equipment, and test unit to evaluate its mechanical operation.
• Repair and lubricate machines and equipment; assemble and install components.
• Dismantle machinery for shipment and prepare foundation for installation.
