Job summary

MetroPower, Inc. is seeking a Millwright to install, repair, and align mechanical equipment across various construction sites. You will dismantle/reassemble machinery, interpret blueprints, and ensure safe operation while traveling as needed to support project demands.

The role requires a High School Diploma, 4 years of related experience, and a valid driver's license; safety, quality workmanship, and customer service are emphasized at MetroPower, an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• 4 years of previous, related work experience required.
• Current Driver's License and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and repair mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery in alignment with project specifications and industry standards.
• Dismantle and reassemble mechanical equipment as needed for repair, relocation, or maintenance.
• Transport equipment to and from job sites, ensuring safety and minimizing risk of contamination or workplace hazards.
• Construct solid foundations and secure mounting for machines on-site.
• Align, level, and calibrate machinery and components to ensure proper functionality, performance, and safety.
• Perform diagnostic troubleshooting to identify root causes of mechanical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and repair drawings related to construction equipment and mechanical systems.
• Work under general supervision to carry out assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.
