Martin Marietta in Gabbs, NV is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic A - Fixed Equipment to repair and maintain plant machinery, including welding, hydraulics, rigging, pipe fitting, pumps, and gear boxes.

The role requires reading blueprints, performing precision alignments, operating lathes/milling machines, and upholding safety standards. Shift work and independent work are expected.

Applicants must have four years as a millwright and pass a welding test; a minimum set of hand tools is required.

Formación

• Minimum four years as a millwright or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and equipment instructions.
• Welding proficiency to pass Company welding test (arc and oxy/acetylene).
• Knowledge of safety practices in maintenance.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision; willing to shift work.

Responsabilidades

• Read blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures.
• Dismantle machinery or equipment using hand tools.
• Move machinery and equipment with hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Assemble and install equipment such as shafting and conveyors.
• Construct foundations for machines and align equipment using precision tools.
• Assemble machinery and bolts, weld, rivet or fasten to foundations.
• May operate engine lathe or milling machine to grind, file, and turn parts.
• Repair and lubricate machinery and equipment.
• Select cables, ropes, chains, and rigging based on load.
• Attach load to crane hook and set up hoisting equipment.
• May direct workers engaged in hoisting and related tasks.
• Possibly perform duties of General Laborer or Carpenter; shift work may be required.
