Local Lumber Mill in McMinnville, OR is seeking a dependable Millwright Assistant to support our maintenance and millwright team. This full-time role offers a wage of $17–$23 per hour, Monday–Friday, with responsibilities including equipment installation, repairs, and safety compliance.

You will gain hands-on experience in welding, fabrication, and industrial maintenance while working alongside an experienced millwright team, with emphasis on safe, reliable operations and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Maintenance, automotive, or industrial experience preferred.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Basic metalworking or fabrication experience is a plus.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to learn.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to lift/carry up to 60 lbs. as needed.
• Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance, repairs, and equipment installation
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Assist with welding, fabrication, and mechanical projects
• Perform facility and warehouse cleanup, groundskeeping, painting, pressure washing, and minor repairs
• Help maintain tools, parts, and equipment inventory
• Document maintenance work and report safety hazards
• Follow all company safety procedures
