Job summary

Vallourec in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Millwright Apprentice to join a structured, hands-on training program registered with the Ohio Apprenticeship Council. This paid program combines on-the-job learning with classroom instruction to prepare you for a career as a certified Millwright.

You will assist in installation, alignment, maintenance, and repair of industrial systems, read blueprints, operate tools, and participate in safety and maintenance duties in a demanding manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• Completion of pre-apprenticeship or vocational training is preferred.
• Ability to enroll in and complete a registered apprenticeship program is essential.
• Basic math, reading, and mechanical reasoning skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, alignment, maintenance, and repair of industrial mechanical systems and equipment.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities under supervision.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
• Learn and apply diagnostic tools and software for monitoring system operations.
