Job summary

Texarkana Aluminum is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to analyze and service hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems. You will troubleshoot, repair, and lead rapid response to unplanned outages while following documented procedures and reliability practices.

The role requires 5+ years in heavy industrial maintenance or completion of a Heavy Industry Apprentice Program, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read complex prints and schematics.

Qualifications

• Five years heavy industrial maintenance experience or completion of an approved Heavy Industry Apprentice Program.
• High school diploma or GED; applicable trade certifications preferred.
• Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and machining prints and schematics.
• Welding, brazing, cutting, fabrication and mechanical repair skills.
• Physically capable of heavy lifting, climbing and working in confined or high areas.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, overtime, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Relocation to Nash, TX 75569 is required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze all types of hydraulic, electrical, electronic and pneumatic circuits and diagrams to install, repair, adjust, calibrate or service systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment; lead maintenance teams to respond to breakdowns quickly.
• Use reliability tools to improve equipment reliability and reduce waste.
• Read and interpret prints, sketches and component parts; fabricate as needed.
• Ensure procedures are documented and followed; work in a metrics-driven environment.

Pumps, motors, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, valves, fans, blowers, gas fired burners, and air compressors.Troubleshooting, welding (all types), brazing, cutting, mechanic, pipe threading, fabrication, machining and hydraulic setup.Five (5) years heavy industrial maintenance or successful completion of an approved Heavy Industry Apprentice Program. High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.Use of test gauges, micrometers, PI tapes, dial indicators, and precision levels.Able to work flexible hours as required.Strenuous physical activities including a lot of walking, climbing ladders and stairs, entering confined areas, heavy lifting (50 lbs. or more) and working in high areas.
