Role Description

This full-time Millwright role is an on-site position based in Suffolk, VA. The Millwright will install, align, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical systems, including conveyors, pumps, motors, and production equipment. Daily responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical drawings, performing equipment inspections, executing preventive maintenance, and diagnosing mechanical issues to minimize downtime. The role involves using power and hand tools for fabrication, assembly, and adjustment of equipment, as well as working closely with supervisors and teammates to complete projects safely and on schedule. The Millwright will also document maintenance activities, follow safety and quality standards, and support continuous improvement of equipment performance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability in Maintenance & Repair, including installation, alignment, and servicing of industrial machinery.
• Experience with Preventive Maintenance practices to extend equipment life and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Strong Troubleshooting skills for identifying mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Proficient use of Power Tools for cutting, drilling, grinding, and assembling mechanical components.
• Skilled with precision instruments for adjustments, assembly, and disassembly of equipment and components.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to OSHA and company safety procedures.
• Physical ability to stand, lift, climb, and work in industrial environments for extended periods.
• Prior millwright, industrial maintenance, or mechanical trade experience; relevant trade certification or apprenticeship is an asset.
