Job summary

PCA in International Falls, MN is seeking a Millwright to support a white paper mill operation. You will perform precision alignment, installation, and maintenance tasks to improve productivity and reduce downtime.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a 2-year technical program, and 3+ years of millwright or equivalent experience. Pre-employment physical and drug testing are required; must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a 2-year technical program is required.
• 3+ years’ experience as an industrial millwright or maintenance mechanic or completion of a formal 4-year millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to support paper manufacturing operations and improve productivity by reducing downtime and waste.
• Perform precision alignment of motors, machinery, and equipment.
• Install bearings and perform predictive and preventative motor maintenance.
• Carry out advanced pump repair, arc welding, and proper riggings.
• Operate mobile cranes, lifts, and hoists.
• Adhere to all safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

We are seeking applicants for a Millwright in our International Falls, MN Paper Mill. The International Falls facility is a White Paper Mill owned by Packaging Corporation of America.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team in support of a paper manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.
• Perform precision alignment of motors, machinery, and equipment.
• Responsible for the installation of bearings and predictive and preventative motor maintenance.
• Perform advanced pump repair, arc welding, proper riggings.
• Ability to use mobile cranes, lifts, and hoists.
• Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of 2-year technical program.
• 3+ years’ experience as an industrial millwright or maintenance mechanic or the completion of a formal 4-year millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience.
• Able to pass pre-employment physical and drug test.
• Must be able to sit, stoop, and bend.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have valid current driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a paper or other manufacturing environment.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly salary range for position: $32.61 (76% Apprentice) to $57.88
• Paid Vacation and Paid Holidays.
• Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision – and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
• Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions.
