Production Operator – International Falls, MN

The International Falls, MN Paper Mill is a White Paper Mill that serves customers locally and nationally. This role supports the manufacturing operations of the plant by performing a range of production tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of manufacturing tasks using production equipment to ensure a steady workflow.
- Adjust equipment as needed and conduct quality checks before, during, and after production.
- Stack boxes, clean facility areas, and perform general helper duties.
- Move and lift heavy objects safely.
- Maintain accurate production and work records.
- Examine products to verify conformance to specifications.
- Clean rooms and work areas as required.
- Sort manufacturing materials and products.
- Load and unload materials into machinery.
- Load, unload, and stack products, materials, and containers.
- Measure, weigh, or count products and materials.
- Operate hoist, winch, and hydraulic boom equipment.
- Perform safety and equipment inspections in the plant.
- Use hand and power tools as needed.
- Mark products and containers correctly for identification.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have previous work experience.
- Must have a current and valid Driver’s License.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Willing to work swing and graveyard shifts, including required overtime.
- Strong safety background with a good attendance record.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to push, pull, bend, and twist repeatedly.
- Can adapt to varying temperatures and work volumes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous plant manufacturing experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Work well under pressure, within time constraints, and multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and computer skills.
- Make independent decisions through creative problem‑solving and handling ambiguity.
- Manage a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
- Read and understand technical correspondence, memos, instructions, and reports.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting salary: $28.65 per hour.
- Paid vacation and paid holidays.
