Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) seeks a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment in a fast-paced paper packaging facility in Wisconsin. You must hold a WI State Indentured Journeyperson Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright Card and be comfortable working with a team to uphold safety, attendance, and quality standards.

Your role includes maintaining machinery, reducing downtime, and supporting ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.

• Ability to work safely and maintain quality and attendance.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must Possess a WI State Indentured Journeyperson Maintenance Mechanic Millwright Card.
• Experience in successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• On the job success in safety, attendance, and quality of work expected.
• Follow all established facility rules, policies, and procedures.
• Own or obtain necessary tools.
• Must have a good attitude and able to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to pursue ongoing technical training to enhance capabilities.
• Must have own tools or willing to obtain tools needed.
• Ability to manage several priorities at once.
• Be passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test & background check.
• Must be willing to work any shift assigned, including holidays and weekends, and accept call-ins and overtime outside of the normal workday. After one-year of employment in the mill, eligibility for shift by seniority goes into effect.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous plant manufacturing experience, particularly within the corrugated or packaging industry.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Must be willing to work closely on a day-to-day basis with other production personnel.
• Ability to share ideas with others to solve problems of essential importance.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Work with a sense of urgency to reduce downtime of machines.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Starting salary for position: $45.34 per hour.
• Paid Vacation: Based on the contractual agreement.
