Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America is hiring a Millwright at the International Falls, MN paper mill. The role supports a paper manufacturing operation with focus on uptime, productivity, and safety.

Responsibilities include precision alignment of motors and machinery, installation of bearings and motor maintenance, pump repair, and use of mobile cranes, lifts and hoists. Strong teamwork, good communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2-year technical program completed.
• 3+ years’ experience as an industrial millwright or maintenance mechanic or completion of a formal 4-year millwright apprenticeship or equivalent training.
• Able to pass pre-employment physical and drug test.
• Must be able to sit, stoop, and bend.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

• Work as part of a team in support of a paper manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.
• Perform precision alignment of motors, machinery, and equipment.
• Responsible for the installation of bearings and predictive and preventative motor maintenance.
• Perform advanced pump repair, arc welding, proper riggings.
• Ability to use mobile cranes, lifts, and hoists.
• Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of 2-year technical program.
• 3+ years’ experience as an industrial millwright or maintenance mechanic or the completion of a formal 4-year millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a paper or other manufacturing environment.
