Job summary

Scoular Millwright role focusing on maintenance, repairs and installation oversight within our grain elevator asset network. You will lead crews, ensure safety, and drive efficiency while maintaining equipment and installations.

The position requires at least five years in the field, welding/torching/rigging skills, and a strong commitment to quality. Expect up to 70% travel and the ability to work at heights and in varying conditions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant field.
  • Demonstrated understanding and proven experience welding, torching and rigging.
  • Highly skilled in problem solving techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Scoular asset teams to plan and complete in-house projects and repairs.
  • Responsible for providing leadership and direction to Construction and Laborer crews regarding non-routine task completion.
  • Partner with facility management to coordinate crew member support and scheduling to assist with project completion, as well as inventory support in ordering needed parts.
  • Inspect and monitor grain asset equipment. Examples: legs, drag, conveyor belts, skid steers, wheel loaders.
  • Coach and train facility team members on preventative maintenance best practices.
  • Work closely with Operations Project Team to support asset locations to address maintenance needs proactively to minimize breakdowns.

About The Role

This position ensures that Scoular equipment and physical assets are always in safe condition and good working order as well as oversee new installations of equipment and foundations. This role requires maintenance knowledge and experience to lead Scoular employees through non-routine tasks and mechanical issues to ensure we are meeting safety, compliance and efficiency expectations.

About You
Minimum
  • Maintain valid driver’s license and medical card.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant field.
  • Demonstrated understanding and proven experience welding, torching and rigging.
  • Highly skilled in problem solving techniques.
  • Willingness to work at various heights, in confined spaces and in inclement weather.
  • Experience in bulk handling operations.
  • Lifting and rigging experience.
  • Demonstrated agility to navigate change and proven ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% to meet business needs, requiring overnight stays.
