Job summary

Starfire Lumber Co. is seeking a qualified Millwright in Cottage Grove, OR. This full-time maintenance role supports production equipment, performs preventive maintenance, and keeps the facility in top condition.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of verifiable Industrial Maintenance/Millwrighting experience, is able to pass a drug screen, and can work some Saturdays. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass a drug screen (THC).
• Willing to work some Saturdays.
• 3–5 years verifiable Industrial Maintenance/Millwrighting experience.
• Must have basic hand tools.
• Knowledge of hydraulics & pneumatics.
• Good welding skills.
• Plumbing, carpentry, and industrial maintenance knowledge.

Starfire Lumber has an immediate opening for Millwright – Journey Level. Position pay is Top Tier for Industry standards for the right candidate based on experience and skill level. We require three to five years verifiable experience in Industrial Manufacturing Maintenance/Millwrighting

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair mechanical systems in a sawmill environment.
• Communicates need for major repairs or additions to equipment to appropriate manager.
• Responds in a timely fashion to problems related to facility maintenance and repair.
• Makes recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities.
• Maintains a clean, safe working environment.
• Possesses and maintains a high level of competency and efficiency in all aspects of maintenance operations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
