VIP Staffing seeks an experienced Millwork Shop Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of a cabinet and millwork manufacturing shop in Rockwall, TX. This role manages 20+ employees, coordinates production workflow, and ensures quality per drawings and production instructions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in millwork or shop supervision, strong leadership, and the ability to read blueprints. This supervisory role focuses on operations, planning, safety, and meeting production goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in millwork, cabinet manufacturing, woodworking production, or shop supervision.
• Experience supervising a production or manufacturing team.
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings, plans, blueprints, and production instructions.
• Working knowledge of cabinet construction and millwork manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with CNC routers, edge banders, and related woodworking equipment.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the millwork shop and supervise 20+ employees.
• Coordinate workflow, production schedules, and job priorities to meet deadlines.
• Ensure cabinets and millwork products are manufactured according to shop drawings, plans, specifications, and production instructions.
• Understand cabinet construction, millwork manufacturing processes, and the operation of CNC routers, edge banders, and related equipment.
• Monitor production quality, productivity, and workflow efficiency.
• Manage employee performance, including hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions, and termination as needed.
• Collect and review employee timecards.
• Coordinate ordering and availability of plywood, laminate, and other production materials.
• Ensure employees have the materials, drawings, and instructions needed to complete assigned work.
• Maintain accurate production records, shop documentation, and operational reports.
• Use Microsoft Excel and other computer systems for administrative and operational responsibilities.
• Promote a safe, organized, and productive shop environment.
