Job summary

Merric Millwork and Seating in Missouri is seeking a Millwork Engineer to convert finalized millwork drawings into manufacturing documents and CNC programs. You will develop machine code from standard libraries and custom products, using AutoCAD, Microvellum, and SolidWorks/SWOOD, with knowledge of fabrication materials to create accurate nest drawings.

This role requires creating 2D AutoCAD shop drawings from architectural plans for submittal and construction, and collaborating with project

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in millwork engineering or related manufacturing role.
Strong understanding of cabinetry, furniture and millwork.
Knowledge of AWI standards and guidelines.
Experience with CNC manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Create CNC & saw programs and other construction documents for custom millwork using AutoCAD, Microvellum, and SolidWorks/SWOOD.
Ensure As-Built drawings match construction plans.
Develop detailed millwork design plans, considering aesthetics and functionality.
Collaborate with project managers to meet design intent, deadlines and budgets.
Compile material take-offs for ordering and shop production.
Maintain high accuracy for cut-lists and millwork elements.
Stay updated on industry trends, materials and tech to improve processes.
Communicate production needs clearly with the manufacturing team.
Solve complex millwork challenges and support project timelines.
Assist in development and maintenance of engineering standards.
