Job description

The Milling Operator is a member of our Machining Department responsible for operating a milling machine to mill our forged rolls to customer specifications. Competitive wages starting at $21.50 per hour. AdditionalPaid Relief Days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS (Paid in increments throughout the first year of continued employment), and this position is eligible for the Production Incentive Program.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate mills and controller
• Milling rolls to customer blueprint specification
• Inspect milled dimension(s) to customer blueprint
• Reporting all deviations from customer blueprint specifications
• Perform other department duties, as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Basic problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Previous CNCmachining experience preferred
• Must be able to work any shift

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous milling experience required
• Previous experience operating manufacturing equipment and/or heavy machinery required

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:

• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
• Exposed to seasonal temperature changes
• Manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and vibration
• Eligible upon hire: Company paid safety shoes and prescription safety glasses.
• Eligible after 30 days;medical/prescription drug coverage, dental, vision insurances, company provided Basic Life and AD&D insurance, additional voluntary benefits including hospital indemnity, accident and critical illness insurance, paid holidays.
• Eligible at 60 days (520 working hours): Participation in the production incentive pay program (potential to add $1-$2 per hour to base pay, based on production)
