Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America is seeking a Shift Supervisor in our International Falls, MN Paper Mill. The role focuses on day-to-day management of the Cityside area on shift, with emphasis on I-1, I-3, and Finishing/Shipping to resolve daily issues.

The successful candidate will lead crews, uphold safety as a top priority, and coordinate with Riverside shift teams to maintain seamless mill operations. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, or bio-resource (pulp & paper) science engineering.
• 1+ years in a leadership role.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have a current and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Cityside and shift areas, focusing on I-1, I-3, and Finishing/Shipping.
• Lead crew meetings and communicate safety and production goals to the day shift team.
• Resolve short and long-term productivity and quality bottlenecks.
• Lead troubleshooting of equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation by the crew.
• Coordinate with Riverside Shift Supervisors for seamless cross-area operations.
• Maintain effective daily communication with crew, peers, and day shift management.
• Oversee administrative/personnel issues on shift and respond to additional duties as required.
• Drive safety, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
