Job summary

Commercial Metals (CMC) is seeking a maintenance-oriented team member to support maintenance personnel, participate in safety programs, and assist with equipment inspections and basic repairs. You will contribute to a safe, efficient operation in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and proactive communication of issues, with opportunities for growth and advancement within CMC’s manufacturing and recycling operations.

Qualifications

• Team player in a fast-paced environment with strong work ethic.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in exposure to temperature, chemicals, dust and noise.
• Must be able to learn quickly and multitask; basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance personnel when requested/needed.
• Participate in safety programs and uphold safety culture.
• Communicate potential production issues and needs clearly.
• Ensure equipment inspection reports are completed each shift.
• Perform routine maintenance or repairs as needed.
• Support daily housekeeping and safe, timely tasks.
