Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking a maintenance professional for our Bagdad, Arizona milling facilities. The role focuses on safe maintenance, installation, and repair of milling equipment including mills, conveyors, and screens, with opportunities to perform welding and preventive maintenance.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of industrial mechanical repair experience, ability to read schematics, and a solid mechanical aptitude. Housing options and comprehensive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in mechanical/maintenance in industrial setting.
• Ability to read and use schematics and blueprints.
• Completion of required training with safety competencies and written assessment.

Responsibilities

• Safely maintains, repairs, and installs equipment in the Milling plant (mills, conveyors, screens).
• Assist with component replacement on conveyors, mills, screen decks, lube systems, pumps.
• Perform mechanical lubrication, inspect for wear, identify potential failures, and participate in preventive maintenance.
• May perform welding (Stick, TIG).
• Maintain work orders, keep a clean, safe work area and conduct inspections.
• Other duties as required.

What You Will Do

• Safely performs maintenance, installation, and repair of equipment and processes in the Milling plant including mills, conveyors, screens and like systems.
• Assist with and perform component replacement and repairs on, but not limited to: conveyor systems, ball mills, auto mills, screen decks, lube systems, filter drums, crushers, hydraulic filter presses, and foundry pumps
• Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance: identify potential failures/noises/wear on agitators, rotors, belts, pulleys, gear boxes
• May perform welding (Stick, TIG)
• Responsible for maintaining work orders, a clean and safe work area and performing work area inspections
• Perform other duties as required

What You Bring To Freeport

• One (1) year of experience in mechanical/maintenanceora combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance
• Ability read and use schematics and blue prints
• Must have completed academic and competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees), and have experience demonstrating required mechanical aptitude.Selected candidate shall demonstrate ability to apply knowledge and technical skills while also passing a written assessment.This exam is based on technical skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.

The estimated pay range for this role is currently$24.00 - $32.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
