Job summary

You will develop scope, budgets, schedules and risk plans, track costs and manage vendors, plus provide regular updates to stakeholders and project owners to ensure alignment with goals. The role emphasizes safety and disciplined execution in a challenging manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in engineering, maintenance or operations within industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook (Microsoft Office).
• Willing to work extended schedules during critical execution periods, outages, and on weekend/holiday call.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety through involvement in safety training, adherence to safety policies, and inclusion of company safety initiatives in project deliverables
• Develop project scope, objectives, and goals
• Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
• Track project costs to meet budget
• Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
• Identify and manage potential risks and liabilities, provide input to risk management plans, and anticipate risks that could adversely impact project success or mill operations
• Perform quality control throughout the project to maintain standards expected, specifications cited, and relevant governing body regulatory requirements - Ensure proper acceptance tests and inspection criteria are project integrated
• Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
• Participate in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans
• Participate in the development of criteria for, and evaluation of, equipment and technical suppliers
• Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
• Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress - Communicate with project owners to ensure alignment to project goals
