Job summary

Contech is seeking a Mill Operator Trainee to join our Pinellas Park plant. You will participate in operating and monitoring mill processes, perform coil handling, and execute QA checks under supervision. This role includes on‑the‑job training with opportunities for growth.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, and you must be able to complete Hel-Cor Mill Certification within 1 year. Forklift certification is preferred, and overtime opportunities may be available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must complete Hel-Cor Mill Certification within 12 months of hire.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate overhead cranes, coil handlers, or forklifts to move coil from storage to machine area.
• Thread incoming coils through mill processes.
• Operate mill components via manual/automatic control on control panel.
• Butt welds and grinds strip ends manually.
• Record QA measurements per Quality Manual.
• Perform equipment setup, routine maintenance, and repairs to mill equipment.
