Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is hiring for on-site mill operation roles at the Henderson mine. The position focuses on safely producing copper and molybdenum concentrates, with tasks spanning crushing, milling, flotation, and control rooms.

You will monitor processes, adjust systems, and operate related equipment in a 24/7 environment. Qualified candidates have at least six months in mill processing, familiarity with wet grind and filtration, and may require HazMat training.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in mill process operations.
• The selected candidate shall demonstrate aptitude and pass required assessments.
• Knowledge of the wet grind and flow systems through mill and flotation area.
• Knowledge of the filtering and drying process.
• Hazmat training may be required per DOT regulations.
• Knowledge of placard system to identify hazardous materials.
• Awareness of environmental policies and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform duties related to production of copper and/or molybdenum concentrates in the Mill at a skilled level.
• Complete duties within the Mill process, including areas like fine crushing, COB, ball mill, roughers, cleaners, flotation cells, moly plant, and control room.
• Take process readings and make necessary changes or adjustments.
• Use electronic process monitoring to oversee conveyors, plant systems and equipment.
• Perform start-up and shut-down of plant or related systems.
• Operate processing equipment and perform basic maintenance; report issues.
• May operate mobile equipment such as loaders, forklifts, skid-steer loaders, and cranes.
• Perform area housekeeping and safety audits.
• Perform other duties as required.
