Central Garden & Pet in Chilton, WI seeks a Class 5 Mill Operator Level I on 1st shift to coordinate receipt, cleaning, and processing of grains. You will operate six cleaning mills, maintain equipment, and ensure product quality while recording transactions in SAP and Repete.

The role requires safety compliance and teamwork across Milling and Production. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, mechanical aptitude, and experience with mill operations, with abilities in problem-solving and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience operating cleaning mills.
• Proficiency with Repete and SAP software.
• English reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate receipt of rail cars and trucks and ensure a clean, compliant product.
• Set up, operate, and monitor six cleaning mills; perform preventive maintenance.
• Record inventory in SAP and enter routes in Repete.
• Monitor QC tests: moisture, dockage, bushel weight; sample loads.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety policies.
• Communicate with Milling Operators and Production Scheduler to ensure timely grain delivery.
• Support other duties in Plant 3 as assigned.
