Job summary

INX International Ink Co. in Dunkirk, NY, is seeking Mill/Mixer Operators to manufacture highquality printing ink. We will train the right candidate to operate a mill and TPM activities.

You will run batches, weigh-up and mix batches, and maintain equipment according to TPM standards. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and at least 3 months of related experience. Overtime, lifting up to 50 lbs, and strong attention to detail are expected.

Qualifications

• Have a strong Autonomous Maintenance (AM) background.

Responsibilities

• Run batches of ink at proper mill settings.
• Package finished product in various containers and apply labels.
• Clean and maintain machines to TPM standards.
• Learn and apply TPM knowledge to daily activities.
• Weigh-up batches: follow process orders and shift between auto and manual steps.
• Mix batch: discharge pigment and operate mixer safely; follow INX SOPs.
• Operate Hockmeyer mill and maintain optimum OEE standards.
• Create and maintain a database of all existing formulas and processing times.
• Canning operation and related tasks.
• Operate press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift.
• Act as QC liaison, provide ink samples, make adjustments, and record data.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and troubleshoot.
• Assist with repacks.

Job Description

This role offers a range of $19 to $22 per hour. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, and skills, as well as geographic considerations.

We are seeking Mill/Mixer Operators to manufacture high-quality printing ink. We will train right candidate to operate a mill machine and on TPM activities. As aMill/Mixer Operator you will be responsible for:

• Runningbatches of ink at proper mill settings
• Packagingfinished product in various containers and applying labels
• Cleaning and maintaining machines to TPM Standards
• Learning and applying TPM knowledge to daily activities
• Weigh-Up Batches: Following proper process order of addition.Shifting between auto and manual steps
• Mix Batch:Dischargingpigment and operatingmixer safely; following and adheringto all INX Mixer SOP's
• Hockmeyer mill operation:Running and maintaining optimum OEE (overall equipmenteffectiveness) standards
• Creatingand maintaining a database of all existing formulas including processing times
• Canning
• Operatingthe following: Press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift
• Acting as a QC liaison, providingink samples, makingink adjustments, and recording data
• Completingscheduled maintenanceand utilizing troubleshooting procedures.
