Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Maintenance Foreman in Demopolis, AL, to lead mill maintenance on a 12-hour rotating shift. You will drive safety, reliability, and uptime by directing electricians, millwrights, and maintenance staff while partnering with operations and engineering to plan, schedule, and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, problem solving, and communication in a unionized industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to supervise, coach, and develop employees.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, evaluate, and implement effective solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate in both group and one-on-one settings.
• Fundamental understanding of maintenance and operational processes in a paper mill or similar manufacturing facility.
• Working knowledge of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including work order management, maintenance planning, and cost tracking (JD Edwards preferred).

Responsabilités

• Lead a strong safety culture by upholding safety policies and coordinating maintenance-related safety initiatives.
• Supervise hourly maintenance employees to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with Operations and Maintenance teams for planning and execution.
• Support equipment reliability through troubleshooting and participation in RCFA, lubrication, balancing, and precision maintenance programs.
• Manage resources during downtime to minimize disruption.
• Communicate effectively with Maintenance Leadership about priorities and shifts.
