Job summary

Moog Military Aircraft LLC in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Mill Machinist II for 3rd shift to perform a wide range of milling operations using vertical mills and tracer-type machines. Location & Schedule

Work Schedule: Onsite – Buffalo, NY

Responsibilities

• Perform a complete range of milling operations on all types of material using vertical mills and tracer-type milling machines.
• Set up and operate a vertical mill and make all set‑ups using specified equipment.
• Occasionally develop new methods and machining techniques.
• Interpret drawings, sometimes work without operation sheets, and make difficult layouts.
• Work with minimum guidance when necessary.
• Inspect all work performed and detect unusual conditions, defective materials, and defective parts using different inspection equipment and processes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• At least 3 years of experience as a CNC Mill Machinist.
• Enrollment and participation in the company’s “F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program” is required in accordance with strict Federal Aviation Agency (F.A.A.) safety regulations.

• $3,500 sign‑on bonus (subject to terms of the bonus agreement).
• Hourly Salary Range: $28.00–$32.00 per hour in Buffalo, NY.

Additional Compensation

Second and third shift employees receive a 10% shift differential pay. The base salary range represents the low and high end of Moog’s salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region‑specific benefits.
