Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a CNC mill machinist.
• Enrollment in Moog’s FAA Drug & Alcohol Program is required by FAA regulations for Safety Sensitive Work.

• Occasionally develop new machining methods and techniques.

• Inspect all work and detect defects with inspection equipment and processes.

Position Details

Job Title: Mill Machinist II – 2nd Shift (Onsite – Buffalo, NY)

This position is eligible for a $3,500 sign‑on bonus.

Application period: July 20, 2026 – September 11, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Perform a complete range of milling operations on all types of material using vertical mills and tracer‑type milling machines.
• Set up and operate a vertical mill; make all set‑ups using specified equipment.
• Occasionally develop new methods and machining techniques.
• Interpret drawings and, occasionally, work without operation sheets to make difficult layouts.
• Work with minimal guidance when required.
• Inspect all work performed and detect unusual conditions, defective materials, and defective parts using different inspection equipment and processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions or training in English.
• Demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• At least 3 years of experience as a CNC mill machinist.
• Enrollment and participation in Moog’sFAA Drug & Alcohol Program is required by FAA regulations for Safety Sensitive Work.

Compensation and Salary Transparency

Hourly Salary Range: $28.00–$32.00 (Base salary range represents the low and high end of Moog’s salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries may vary depending on location, experience, and performance.)
