Job summary

Alliance Industrial Solutions in Youngstown, OH is hiring a Mill Helper for a union manufacturing team. You will support production by assisting with machine setup, loading materials, and performing quality checks on 12-hour rotating shifts.

This on-site role starts ASAP with competitive hourly pay and union wage increases. Expect direct-hire placement with immediate permanent employment, health/prescription coverage, and a retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Read and understand part drawings, manufacturing orders and quality check sheets.
• Able to perform basic math and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Must be able to lift/move up to 100 pounds; good attendance required.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators with machine setup and material loading.
• Cut, stack, band, and wrap materials and finished products.
• Perform quality checks using drawings and inspection sheets.
• Operate jib cranes and set up/teardown exit-end racking.
• Maintain a clean, safe production area and equipment.

What You'll Do

• Assist operators with machine setup and material coil loading.
• Cut, stack, band, and wrap materials and finished products.
• Perform quality checks using technical drawings and inspection sheets.
• Operate jib cranes and complete exit-end racking setup and teardown.
• Maintain equipment and work areas to support a safe, clean production environment.

What You'll Bring

• Experience using tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
• The ability to read and understand part drawings, manufacturing orders, and quality check sheets.
• Strong basic math skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• The ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds, along with dependable attendance; a high school diploma or GED is preferred.
