Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a 1st shift Mill Worker at the Bolivar Feed Mill in Fairmount, GA. The role involves general labor, cleaning, groundskeeping, and assisting with ingredients receiving while upholding safety policies.

Physical duties include lifting up to 60–100 lbs with assistance, operating basic equipment, and working in varied environmental conditions. Benefits and company policies apply after hire.

Qualifications

• Entry level, non-skilled general labor in a mill environment.
• Must be able to follow safety procedures and Tyson Health and Safety protocols.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and/or up to 100 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and clean assigned areas of the mill and sign off when completed.
• Assist with unloading ingredients from rail cars and trucks.
• Clean up feed spills and maintain cleanliness in the mill area.
• Perform groundskeeping using landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers).
• Use and maintain air-driven equipment (blow guns) for cleaning tasks.
• Operate high-pressure water hoses to wash down areas.
• Use PIT to move pallets of ingredients.
• Wear required PPE, including ear protection.
• Work in hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments with exposure to ingredient dust.
• Work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as needed based on scheduling.
• Work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures.
• Abide by Biosecurity Guidelines to avoid avian species.
• Maintain good housekeeping in service areas and communicate with Operations, customers, and vendors as required.
• Follow Tyson Health and Safety protocols at all times.
• Assist with lifting and handling tasks as needed; physical endurance for day-long activity.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
