Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Milk and Formula Coordinator for the Milk/Formula Room at Mount Sinai Hospital. This part-time, days role manages human milk and formula preparation, labeling, and distribution, ensuring safe handling and barcode-tracked intake for both donor and maternal milk.

Responsibilities include inventory management, staff and family communication, adherence to infection control, and proper storage of feeds to support patient care across units.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent required; bachelor's preferred.
• Experience in nutrition, food service, or medical labs is a plus.
• Infant feeding technician certification preferred; training within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and fortify human milk and specialty formulas with various calories.
• Document intake of maternal and donor milk, including barcode tracking.
• Label, thaw, sanitize, and store HM/formula and components per policy.
• Deliver HM and enteral products to hospital units as requested.
• Maintain inventory and communicate with staff and families.
• Follow infection control, storage time/temperature, and quality standards.
