Job summary

The Milk and Formula Coordinator at Mount Sinai Hospital is responsible for organizing the Milk/Formula Room, preparing and distributing human milk (donor and maternal) and specialty formulas for patients. You will ensure accurate labeling, proper storage, and inventory management while collaborating with the nutrition and nursing teams.

This role requires attention to sterile technique, adherence to safety policies, and flexibility to rotate weekends and holidays as part of hospital operations

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in nutrition, food service, or milk handling is a plus.
• Prior milk/formula room experience preferred.
• Infant feeding technician certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and fortify HM and formulas with various calorie concentrations.
• Manage intake and documentation of maternal and donor milk.
• Label, track, and store HM and formula accurately.
• Deliver HM and enteral products to hospital units.
• Maintain inventory and restock supplies.
• Ensure aseptic technique and infection control.
