Job summary

Bronson Methodist Hospital in Bronson, FL is seeking a Milk Bank Donor Intake Coordinator on full-time days. You will screen potential milk donors, coordinate with healthcare providers for approval, and dispense donor milk to hospitals and outpatient clients.

You will analyze donor data, follow HMBANA guidelines, and collaborate with the Milk Bank Systems Coordinator, Pasteurization Coordinator, and Breastfeeding Center to plan, implement, promote, and evaluate the donor intake program.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Nursing, Social Work, Nutrition, dietetics, or other healthcare related field.
• 2 years clinical experience in area of degree preferred.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Computer skills
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze data from various computer systems and equipment.
• Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Work which produces levels of mental/visual fatigue with frequent deadlines and lifting up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Screen potential milk bank donors via in-person and phone contacts.
• Interface with healthcare providers to approve donors and with hospitals/outpatient clients to dispense donor milk.
• Analyze data for donor approvals and prepare reports for HMBANA.
• Collaborate with Milk Bank Systems Coordinator, Pasteurization Coordinator, Breastfeeding Center, and leadership to plan and evaluate the donor intake program.
• Assist with shipping/receiving of coolers and pasteurizing donor milk; provide staff support.
