Job summary

Georgia Southern University is seeking a Military & Veterans Service Outreach Coordinator to drive enrollment and retention of military-affiliated students through university-wide outreach, training, and partnerships. You will manage the Military Resource Center, support student transitions, and coordinate communications and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Three (3) or more years of related work experience.
• Experience with military-affiliated students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Military Resource Center and supervise VA Work Study student employees.
• Collect data to design, plan, deliver, and evaluate programs and events that support military-connected students.
• Serve as primary outreach liaison connecting Military Services with the campus; train campus partners to support military-connected students.
• Coordinate and monitor communications; develop marketing materials highlighting military-connected students and activities.
• Participate in orientation, tabling events, and transition activities to support military-connected student information and services.
• Assist with coordination of the Veterans Readiness and Employment program as assigned.
• Coordinate and administer scholarships supporting military-connected students.
• Engage in community outreach and external agency efforts to support the University’s military-affiliated initiatives.
