Job summary

The American Red Cross in Pensacola, FL seeks a Mobile SAF Regional Program Specialist to oversee delivery of services to service members, veterans, and their families. You will manage volunteers, build relationships with military leadership, and coordinate SAF/IS program delivery in your area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and general experience.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with military leadership, command staff, and installation partners.
• Conduct outreach through command briefings, education sessions, presentations, and one-on-one engagements.
• Maintain visibility using Armed Forces Network, base bulletins, social media and local channels.
• Manage all phases of volunteer engagement: recruitment, onboarding, training, supervision, recognition, offboarding.
• Recruit and mentor leadership volunteers to support SAF/IS, Disaster Cycle Services, Training Services, and Blood Services.
• Utilize Volunteer Connection to manage volunteer documentation, communication, and compliance.
• Ensure high-quality delivery of Red Cross programs to service members, veterans, and families.
• Supervise volunteer service delivery teams and coordinate educational briefings, workshops and events.
• Provide family support services including wellness check-ins, emergency communications, and referrals.
• Update emergency casework rosters, unit contacts, and case logs in line with mission guidelines.
• Promote and implement International Services programs locally.
• Serve as deployable SAF Mobile Team member for a 6-month overseas assignment.
• Support operations across the Middle East, Africa, and Eastern Europe.
• Maintain deployment readiness, including medical clearances, training, and security standards.
• Participate in readiness drills and respond to emergency communications and crises as needed.
• Monitor service delivery outcomes and contribute recommendations for program improvement.
