Job summary

KBR is seeking a Sandblaster/Painter for the TACOM program. The role involves surface preparation, abrasive blasting, and coating application on military vehicles and equipment. You will remove rust and old paint, prime, and apply coatings using spray equipment or brushes.

Applicants should have experience with abrasive blasting, be able to lift 75 lbs, and be eligible for a U.S. government security clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience operating walnut, hull, sand, shot blast or other abrasive blasting equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Operates blasting equipment to remove rust, scale, paint, corrosion and other foreign substances from equipment and components.
• Sets up, prepares, operates, regulates and maintains blasting equipment.
• Fills machines with abrasive and adjusts controls to achieve desired cutting speed.
• Masks surfaces to prevent damage during blasting.
• Performs basic maintenance on equipment and as assigned.
