Job summary

Universal Health Services seeks a Military Program Manager to lead the Military Behavioral Health Recovery Program, delivering trauma-informed, evidence-based care for Active-Duty Service Members, Veterans, National Guard, Reservists, and eligible beneficiaries.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in social work or related mental health field.
  • Minimum five years of experience in mental health/behavioral health.
  • North Carolina LCSW licensure required; LCSWA considered within one year of ABSW test.
  • Experience with military behavioral health, PTSD, trauma-informed care, inpatient psychiatry; PHP/IPU preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and clinical leadership for the Military Behavioral Health Recovery Program.
  • Oversee day-to-day management, coordination, quality oversight, and continuous improvement of the 28-day inpatient stay.
  • Serve as primary liaison among clinical services, nursing, medical staff, case management, and executive leadership.
  • Coordinate with military commands and senior leadership as appropriate.

Qualifications

The Military Program Manager, under the direction of the Executive Director, and in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services (DCS), provides operational and clinical leadership for the Military Behavioral Health Recovery Program. This individual in collaboration with the DCS, is responsible for the day-to-day management, coordination, quality oversight, and continuous improvement of the 28-day inpatient stay, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based, trauma-informed care for Active-Duty Service Members, Veterans, National Guard, Reservists, and eligible military beneficiaries.

The Program Manager leads an interdisciplinary team and serves as the primary liaison between clinical services, nursing, medical staff, recreational therapy, case management, business development, military commands (when appropriate), and executive leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master’s Degree specializing in social work preferred, will consider clinical related mental health areas for strong candidates with demonstrated experience.

Experience: Five (5) years' experience in the mental health/behavioral health field. A plus for experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility and minimum three years leadership experience preferred.

Licensure: Current unrestricted North Carolina LCSW license required: will consider LCSWA with experience and is within one year of national ABSW LCSW test.
